Nau Mai - Haere Mai - Welcome :)

This is the blog for the Senior Team at Parkland School.
We use this day-to-day in our classrooms so your child/ren will soon know their way around and what many of the things are for.

Many of the things on here are historical.  The School App has the most up-to-date information, newsletters and events.  This blog is used in some classrooms and for some of the groups that operate in our team.

Each tab will take you to a different set of information.
Please don't hesitate to ask us if you need any help with the programme or events happening here at school.

PAST YEARS... :)

2021
We are off to a flying start this year with only 7 school days before we head to Camp Raukawa (click image for some information about the camp we are off to).

Please keep a close check on all notices coming home and return those with information sharing as soon as possible as this helps us lots.
If you have any questions at any time, you can call the office or email (links below) any one of the Senior Team Teachers and we will do our best to help you.

Cycle Safety Programme with Sport Manawatu and the Police

On Monday we started working with Phil from Sport Manawatu and Constable Matt from the NZ Police.  They will be working with us over the next week or so helping us learn about being safe when we are out and about biking.

Here is a Popplet for us to add our ideas as we learn with Phil and Matt

Tumeke 12 have Enjoyed Some Board Games with Team 13

It's great to see such fun-filled games happening between members of our two classes.  People have been teaching each other new card games and sharing their skills beautifully.

Stunning Daffodils!

Look how the daffodils have changed colour over the weekend!

Thank you to Ani's whanau for these beautiful blooms :)

Tumeke 12's Session with Plant-to-Plate

http://planttoplateaotearoa.org.nz/2017/07/2331/

Click on the link above to have a look at this great recount from our day working with Plant-to-Plate in the last week of Term 2.  We are always incredibly grateful for the time we get to spend with the amazing volunteers from Plant-to-Plate.  They teach us so many useful tips and skills in the garden and kitchen.

Autumn Artworks Up :)

What a beautiful outlook from our mat areas, looking at these autumn artworks with the legend artworks up behind them.  I feel so lucky to be working and learning in such a lovely space with such treats for my eyes.  The view as I walk out of my office is equally wonderful.  Tumeke 12 - you are indeed tumeke :)
